Julian A. Barnes

Julian Barnes is the Co-Founder and CEO of BFS, a market intelligence and growth accelerator for beauty, fitness & self care businesses and, in that role, he serves as a strategic growth advisor to help BFS’ members achieve and enhance their profitability. He has held marketing leadership roles at Velocity Sports Performance and Oasis Day Spa and later co-founded Body Local, NYC’s top networking platform for wellness professionals.

Barnes is also an educator who created New York University’s Institute in Entrepreneurship & Small Business Management; lectured at the Wharton School of Business and at Columbia University; and was a presenter at conferences such as the National Strength & Conditioning Assn, Health & Fitness Assn and the IDEA Health & Fitness Assn. He has been featured in The New York Times, Men’s Health magazine and Crain’s NY. He earned his BA from Tufts University and his JD from the UNC at Chapel Hill School of Law.
